Angie brings 30 years of experience to WSU. As Associate Vice President for Finance and University Controller at Idaho State University, Angie’s portfolio included student financial services, financial reporting & analysis, disbursements, and purchasing. She’s provided leadership in strategic assignments and collaborated extensively with payroll, grant/contract accounting, and the budget office. In her 9 years at Idaho State University, Angie has made transformative and lasting contributions to the finance division including improvements to financial reporting systems and structures, creation of a capital budget by fiscal year identifying cash flow requirements, increased access to data for financial analysis, improved internal controls, and development and presentation of quarterly financial updates to university leadership and the State of Idaho Audit Committee. She’s also played a critical role in preparation of year end forecast updates, design of financial modeling for strategic scenarios, collaboration with the budget office to implement an all-funds budget fully comparable to audited financial statements, and partnership in the design of management financial reports with alternate hierarchies utilizing ISU’s new reporting tool.
Prior to joining ISU, Angie held numerous finance roles with increasing leadership and responsibility during her 20+ years leading accounting, financial planning & analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, and cost accounting in the food processing industry.
Angie grew up in rural Eastern Washington and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Washington State University.
